FALL/WINTER
Customizable Drinking Water System Available
Homeowners in Arizona who want the highest quality drinking water can now have made-to-order water with the Kinetico K5 Drinking Water System, the first customizable and expandable drinking water treatment system in the United States. The new system raises the bar for National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified water treatment systems by removing more contaminants than any other NSF certified drinking water system on the market, providing faster flow rates and higher production rates than any comparable drinking water system available.

The new K5 Drinking Water System is the only drinking water treatment system created to meet the community's ever-changing water treatment needs. The expandable system solves existing poor water quality issues as well as those that may develop in the future. Simply stated, it is the last drinking water system you will ever need to buy, because it will never be obsolete. The longevity of the K5 is due to its interchangeable, five-cartridge filter design, which allows you to choose from nine available cartridges, each solving a particular water quality issue based on your unique water treatment needs. While solving water quality issues may not always require five cartridges, you can add or remove cartridges to suit your changing water treatment needs.

Optional cartridges include the Purefecta® Bacteria/Virus Guard which produces biopure water, the highest quality drinking water available through water treatment. With the Mineral Plus cartridge you can introduce organic minerals, such as magnesium and calcium, into the water (most of the minerals found in Arizona water are non-organic). Some health experts claim organic minerals may be beneficial to your health.

Kinetico Water Softeners Receive Consumers Digest Best Buy Rating
We are excited to announce several models of our non-electric water softeners have recently been awarded the Consumers Digest Best Buy rating. The magazine awards its Best Buy seal to products it judges to be of the best quality for the most reasonable price. Kinetico systems have consistently earned excellent ratings from major consumer publications.

Welcome Back Part-Time Residents
If your home was not occupied during the summer, there are a few tips that we would like to share:

Drinking Water System:
Check when the last filter change was done. If the system was unused for a few months, you may want to get the water tested to see if the membrane and filters are still effective. It is also a good idea to have any drinking water system sanitized after a long period of down time.

Water Softener:
When returning to your home in Arizona, first check that there is enough regenerant (salt or potassium*) in the brine tank. If your system was in bypass mode, put it back into service. Sometimes, after a long period of non-use, a softener needs to be manually regenerated in order to perform properly. A call to our Service Department will get you the proper information needed to have your softener work at maximum efficiency.

* The Kinetico softener is set for salt or potassium at the time of original install. These products are not interchangeable. The brine tank, float and settings are different for salt than potassium. If you are not sure what you should be using, call us.
If using salt, we recommend Morton's System Saver Pellets in the yellow bag (sold at most supermarkets and home improvement stores).

The Queen of Clean's Tip for Cleaning Mineral Deposits from the Shower Head:
With a Kinetico water softener, mineral deposits should be at a minimum. However, when necessary, you can fill a plastic sandwich bag with undiluted white vinegar. Tie this around the shower head and leave overnight. In the morning, remove the bag, scrub the head with a brush and it is ready to use.
